Youth Choir Director (On Rotation)
Description
Help us train the next generation in making a joyful noise unto the Lord through song.
We’re looking for someone who can sing, teach others to sing, is dependable, and enjoys working with children to help train our youth in making a joyful noise to the Lord through music.
Responsibilities
**This is currently a rotational position. You would serve as part of a team that rotates responsibilities each month.**
- Lead children in singing on Youth Sundays (occurs once per month)
- Teach children ages 4 – 8 Christian songs appropriate for them to sing on Youth Sundays
- Teach youth ages 9- 15 Christian songs appropriate for them to sing on Youth Sundays
- Rotate months with other Youth Choir Directors to facilitate breaks as needed
- Practice songs with children and youth on Thursday nights
- Hold one children and youth practice the Friday before Youth Sunday (as needed) during assigned month
Qualifications
- Dependable
- Desire and ability to work with children and youth of varying ages
- Proficient in singing fundamentals (e.g. harmony, melody, key changes, etc.)
- Ability to practice with children and youth on Thursday nights from 6-7 pm during assigned month
- Ability to lead children and youth on Youth Sunday during assigned month
- Active member of Ministries of Christ

Additional Details
– Estimate 1-3 hours per week
– Must be available every Thursday from 6 – 6:45 PM during assigned month
– Must be willing to serve at least once per quarter
