Food Services Assistant: Cook

Be a hero to our community and help our Food Services team!
We need someone who enjoys cooking and can commit to helping out at least once a month in the kitchen on Thursdays.
Responsibilities
**This position serves as part of a team. You will only be asked to serve once per month but are welcome to serve more often if available.**
- Follow directions from Director
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Cook food in various utensils or grillers
- Check food while cooking to stir or turn
- Transferring food into appropriate containers for distribution
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check quality of ingredients
- Assist with kitchen clean-up
Qualifications
- Dependable
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand on feed for 2 or more hours
- Ability to work kitchen appliances including gas stoves
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment during serving times
