She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.

Genesis 16:13, NIV

Reflection

Hagar spoke these words in a moment of deep pain and isolation. She felt mistreated by her Earthly leaders, invisible to God, and alone in her suffering. Does that sound familiar? Yet God met her right where she was. Many of us today carry silent battles, smiling on the outside while feeling unseen on the inside. But Christ sees every detail of our lives. He sees the tears we don’t talk about, the effort no one acknowledges, and the weight we’ve been quietly carrying.

But here’s the good news. Being seen by Christ means you are never overlooked. You don’t have to fight for His attention. You don’t have to perform to stay on His radar. His eyes are on you because His heart is for you.

Prayer

God, we thank you for seeing us fully today — our needs, our hopes, as well as our hidden hurts. Help us trust in Your watchful care and allow you to guide us doing your work, your will, your way, knowing you’re with us every step of the way. In Jesus Christ name I pray, Amen.
