But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8, NASB
Reflection
God doesn’t wait for us to “get it together” before he loves us. His love is not based on our performance, our perfection, or our spiritual track record. It’s rooted in His character. It’s steady, sacrificial, and unconditional. Many of us know God’s love in theory, but we struggle to believe it and receive it. Yet Christ’s love is not distant. It’s active. It’s present. And it’s pursuing us.
When Christ looks at you, He doesn’t see someone He regrets saving. He sees someone that’s worth dying for. Someone worth redeeming. Someone worth transforming. His love is not fragile. It doesn’t fluctuate with our emotions or our mistakes. It’s an anchor that can hold us steady when we allow it.
Prayer
Lord, help us to receive Your unconditional love fully today. May it quiet our fears, strengthen our faith, and remind us that we can’t lose your love because you are love. Help us to honor that love with obedience. In Christ Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
