You Are Forgiven

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace

Ephesians 1:7, NASB

Reflection

Guilt is a weight that grows heavier the longer we carry it. Too often, we carry guilt like a badge of honor, inviting people to see it on us as if it somehow makes us more humble. But instead of humbling us, it cripples us, creating a never-ending cycle of shame and hurt until we are too depressed to even pray. That’s not the life Christ died for.

Christ died so we could live, free from the guilt that shames us and empowered by his love that forgives us. Forgiveness means the debt is canceled. The record is cleared. You don’t have to keep rehearsing what Christ has already released. You are free to walk forward without the weight of yesterday’s mistakes. Receive it, today, in faith.

Prayer

Christ Jesus, thank You for forgiving me completely. Thank you for canceling every debt created by my sins. Help me walk in the freedom You’ve already given by faith in you as my Lord and savior. In your precious name I do pray. Amen.

Application Question

What forgiven sin are you still allowing to shape your identity?
